PURPOSE: To obtain an photoelectric indication type electronic timepiece convenient in the initial setting and the indexing of plural data by holding and indicating zero hour for an alarm time to be an empty data left non-set.
CONSTITUTION: A shift register 321 composed of 64 D type FFs 111W448 of a multi-alarm option circuit is driven with a manual shift circuit. Data of a milti- alarm already set and ready for indication are checked in sequence. In this case, zero hour in the alarm data from the register 321 is detected as empty data with a gate 1410 and an output OHAT is generated corresponding to the empty data. This output OHAT permits the formation of a required signal so that zero hour as non-set through a clock control section 1510 or the like is photoelectrically indicated thereby enabling the initial setting and the indexing of plural data conveniently.
