Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably hold a measurement head on a base at a narrow gap by an air cushion by producing a flowing out aperture part from a gas permeable plate having a finely porous structure.
CONSTITUTION: A flowing out aperture part 6 for compressed air is produced using a gas permeable plate 14 having a finely porous structure. The plate 14 is a sintered metal and the path to guarantee air flow rate is made to be approximately 1/100mm level. Compressed air introduced into the chamber 7 through a hole 8 formed in a photoelectric measurement head 1 flows in an annular chamber 12 through a hole 13 and flows out uniformly in the whole lower face of the plate 14 from the lower face of a cover 5. Consequently, an air cushion 15 is formed between the lower face of the plate 14 facing to the base 11 and the base 11 and resisting to the self-gravity, the head 1 is stably held at extremely narrow gap (about 0.2mm).
