Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise from being included in the output of a photoelectric tube by shielding the effects due to external electric field.
SOLUTION: This photoelectric tube 2 has a light-receiving part 12 on its one end surface, is provided with an photoelectric surface (negative electrode) 18 and a positive electrode 22 in a tube 10, the inside of which is sealed in a vacuum, photoelectrically converts the light entering through the light-receiving part 12 on the photoelectric surface 18 and collects photoelectrons emitted from the photoelectric surface 18 with the positive electrode 22. In this case, the positive electrode 22 has a cylindrical shape and is so arranged as to surround the axis of the tube, the photoelectric surface 18 has a disc-like shape and is arranged in the pipe of the positive electrode 22, and the tube 10 has conductivity and is set at the ground potential.
