PURPOSE: To provide a transmissive type photoelectric tube of such a structure as embodied in a small size, suitable for massproducing and unlikely to go into breakage, while a sufficient sensitivity for incident beam of light is maintained.
CONSTITUTION: One of the sides of a metallic valve 11 is blocked with a light receiving face plate 12, where a photoelectric surface 18 is formed on the face plate inner wall surface, while a metal stem 13 is resistance welded to the other side. The inside of this metal vessel is evacuated through an air exhaust pipe 14 which is made of metal. These metallic valve 11, metal stem 13, exhaust pipe 14, and photoelectric surface 18 are connected together electrically. An anode electrode 15 is installed as confronting the light receiving face plate 12 in such a way as fixed inside of the vessel by four anode takeout wires 16, which are secured to the metal stem 13 by a tapered hermetic glass 17.
