To provide a multilayer color photographic element having a red color sensitive record which imparts an advantageous combination of red color sensitivity and high accuracy for color.
The color photographic element includes a multilayer blue color sensitive record, a multilayer green color sensitive record or a multilayer red color sensitive record, and the red color record has two or more layers having different sensitivities and the highest sensitive layer of the red color record contains a first red color sensitized emulsion having at least one peak absorption wavelength and at least one layer of the two highest sensitive layers of the red color contains a second red color sensitized emulsion. This color photographic element exhibits at least one peak absorption wavelength longer than the shortest peak absorption wavelength of the second emulsion when the first emulsion is measured at 0.2 above Dmin.
