To provide a photographic film cartridge for easily removing a film cassette.

The photographic film cartridge has a cartridge chamber 20 for accommodating a shielding cartridge 14 having a scroll that is rotatable; a film roll chamber 22 for accommodating a film, whose one end is locked to the roll for forming into a roll shape; and a bridge section that forms an extension part in the film and has an opening 26 for exposure, that gives exposure for one frame to the front of the expansion part. An open lid 18a, that can be opened and closed freely, is provided on the bottom surface of the cartridge chamber 20; the open lid 18a is opened or closed with a groove 18c provided at the case member of the cartridge body as a rotation center; a projection 18b provided at the open lid 18a is engaged to an opening 20a provided at the lower portion of the front of the cartridge chamber 20, to close the open lid 18a; the open lid 18a can be opened easily by pressing the projection 18b; and the cartridge 14 can be removed to the outside.
