Title:
PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM CARTRIDGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3650680
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such problems that bar codes or numbers thermally transferred to adhesive labels are easily worn or peeled, by incorporating a resin and wax to an ink layer of an ink ribbon and controlling the weight ratio of wax/resin to a specified range.
SOLUTION: The ink ribbon 83 consists of a base layer 93, a release layer 92, and an ink layer 91. By heating the ribbon through the base layer 93 by a heat generating element array 88, the ink layer 91 is molten only in the heated part and thermally transferred from the release layer 92 to an adhesive label 8. The component of the ink layer 91 consists of a mixture of pigment, wax and resin. The resin is the matrix to fix and hold the pigment on the adhesive label 8 and the wax is added to obtain proper transfer property. The wax added has 50 to 100°C softening point or melting point. The weight ratio of the wax in the ink layer 91 to resin is controlled to (0.05 to 0.2):1.
