To retrieve photographic film at a printing origin without performing a collation work by visual observation.

A first radio tag 12 is provided for every frame 11a in a negative film 11 and a film frame ID consisting of a film ID and a frame number is stored in the first radio tag 12. A second radio tag 14 is provided in a photographic print 13 and a film frame number to be the printing origin of the photographic print 13 is stored as a print frame ID in the second radio tag 14. A retrieval device 16 is provided with a reading part 26 which reads information by accessing the first and second radio tags 12, 14, a means for collating the read film frame ID with the print frame ID and a display panel 31 which displays its collation result.
