To efficiently supply photographic films to an image reading section without stopping a device operation in order to load other photographic films to a film loading section, even in the case the number of photographic films exceeds the number of films which can be loaded on the film loading section.

In an AFL(Automatic Film Loader) unit 70, when all the photographic films 26 are carried from a film loader 72, a slide table 140 becomes movable from a first slide position shown in figure, to a second slide position. When the slide table 140 is moved to the second slide position, the film loader 72 is disconnected from a film supply path 96, and then a film loader 74 is connected to the film supply path 96. Thus, without stopping the operation of the AFL unit 70, the photographic film 26 is continuously fed to the film supply path 96 from the film loader 74. In addition, when the slide table 140 is moved to the second slide position, a film batch 27 can be loaded on the film loader 72.
