Title:
PHOTOGRAPHIC FOG REMOVER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC COPIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56149071
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a copy having high sharpness free from any photographic fog by so constituting the device that the excess toner on the surface of a photoreceptor is removed by a revolving magnetic roll.

CONSTITUTION: The toner in the visible image part made on the surface of a photoreceptor 8 by a developing roll 10 is divided to the visible image part 12 and the excess stuck toner 13. The electrostatic adsorption of this excess toner on the photoreceptor 8 is extremely small as compared to the visible image part 12. Hence, it is adsorbed by a magnetic roll 11 having suitable magnetic force and is removed from the photoreceptor 8. On the other hand, the toner in the visiable image part 12 has high adsorption force to the photorecptor 8 and therefore it does not receive the influence of the roll 11. Since the excess toner which is the cause for staining and photographic fog of copying paper is removed by magnetic force in this way, the copy having high sharpness is obtained.
