The photographic lens unit 1P includes, in order from the object side to the imaging device side: an aperture diaphragm 2P; a first lens 3P having positive refractive power; a second lens 4P having negative refractive power; a third lens 5P that is a positive meniscus lens with a concave object side; an ND filter 6P; a fourth lens 7P that is a negative meniscus lens, with a convex object side; an IR cut filter 8P; and an imaging device 9P. The shape of the object side face of the third lens 5p changes from concave to convex according to the distance from the optical axis, and the shape of the image side face of the third lens 5P changes from the convex to the concave according to the distance from the optical axis. The shape of the object side face of the fourth lens 7p changes from convex to concave according to the distance from the optical axis, and the shape of the image side face of the fourth lens 7P changes from the concave to the convex according to the distance from the optical axis.
