To perform pixel deviation without exerting adverse influence such as vibration on a liquid crystal layer and also to easily perform the pixel deviation with respect to not only a sheet paper but a roll paper.
A polarizing plate 7 and a double refraction plate 8 capable of rotating centering an optical axis are provided on the light emitting side of the liquid crystal layer 6. The plate 8 separates incident light into a normal ray whose optical axis advances straight and an abnormal ray whose optical axis is refracted, and supplies the rays to a photographic paper 4. The plate 8 is stuck to the plate 7 so that the separating direction of the plate 8 is coincident with the polarizing direction of the plate 7. Thus, the plate 8 supplies only the abnormal ray to the paper 4. The plates 7 and 8 are integrally rotated around the optical axis by an angle of 90° at a time, and the photographic paper 4 is exposed for each rotation, so that resolution equivalent to the one obtained when the positions of the layer 6 and the paper 4 are relatively deviated in a state where the layer 6 and the paper 4 are fixed can be obtained.
