To provide photographic processing techniques to shorten waiting time upon processing the first sheet of a photosensitive material until outputting the sheet.
Process tanks 33A to 33C to apply washing processing following development and fixing processing to a photographic paper sheet are separately connected to pumps 911 to 913 and auxiliary tanks 911 to 913, respectively. Thereby, different process liquids can be supplied to the process tanks 33A to 33C. For example, washing water is supplied to the process tanks 33A and 33B while a stabilizing liquid is supplied to the process tank 33C; and further, salt water is supplied as washing water to the process tank 33A and desalting water is supplied to the process tank 33B. In order to quicken replacement of process liquids when a photographic paper sheet is transported from one tank to another tank, each of process tanks 33A to 33C is provided with ultrasonic vibrator at a position where the sheet is immersed in the process liquid.
