The apparatus includes a pair of exit side sponge rollers 73 (upper and lower sponge rollers 73a and 73b) for holding and guiding the printing paper sheet R2 from at least one of a plurality of processing tanks 51 to another processing tank 51 and a processing liquid removing means 80 for removing the processing liquid absorbed by the upper and lower sponge rollers 73a and 73b. The processing liquid removing means 80 includes a twisting member 82 constituted so that the upper and lower sponge rollers 73a and 73b may be twisted around the axial center in a direction opposite to a printing paper sheet R2 carrying direction, and on which the upper and lower sponge rollers 73a and 73b are concentrically fitted, and a driving motor 81 as a driving means for driving the twisting member 82 to twist the upper and lower sponge rollers 73a and 73b.
