To improve the throughput of a photographic processing device by shortening standby time without increasing power consumption in a photographic printing and developing machine (photographic processing device) equipped with a drying part 12 which dries photographic paper processed with processing solution while conveying it along a predetermined conveyance path.
The drying part 12 is provided with a drying time changing means to change drying time being a time from photographic paper's advance into the drying part 12 to its ejection therefrom in accordance with the temperature of the drying part 12. The drying time changing means moves a turn roller 23 by a supporting plate driving motor 42 so as to change the length of the conveyance path, whereby the drying time is changed.
