PURPOSE: To suppress curving of the photosensitive material by providing silver halide emulsion layers on one side of a base and a packing layer on the other side, setting the matte degrees of both surfaces to a prescribed value and packaging the photosensitive material with synthetic paper.

CONSTITUTION: At least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers are provided to one side of the base and the packing layer is provided to the other side. The matte layer Me on the side having the emulsion layers is ≤50mmHg the ratio Mb/Me between the matte degree Me and the matte degree Mb on the side having the packing layer is 2-20. The photosensitive material is packaged by the synthetic paper. The photosensitive material contains the matting agent respectively in the side having the emulsion layers and the side having the packing layer. The matting agent is preferably incorporated into the uppermost layer if the photosensitive material has ≥1 layers on both sides. The matting agent may be either an org. matting agent or inorg. matting agent.
