PURPOSE: To obtain a photographic support superior in mechanical strength and dimensional stability and small in curling tendency after development processing by composing it with a specified polyester.

CONSTITUTION: The support is formed out of a polyester film heat treated in a temperature range from 15°C to a temperature 5°C below the glass transition point in a state of water content controlled to be 0.1-1.5%, and it is preferred that this polyester contains ethylene terephthalate units or ethhylene 2, 6-naphthalate units in an amount of ≥70weight%, and this polyester film has a multilayer structure of ≥2 layers and at least one layer comprises an aromatic dicarboxylic acid having a metal sulfonate group as the copolymer unit, thus permitting winding off of the film to be enhanced in speed at the time of photographing and magnification of a photograph to be enhanced and a photographing device to be reduced in size.
