To provide a photographic waste solution electrolytic treatment method for properly controlling current-carrying quantity during electrolysis and reducing a COD contributing substance and an iron complex compound contained in a photographic waste solution in high concentration to cause environmental pollution, a method for reducing the generation level of a hydrogen gas and a photographic waste solution treatment method capable of reducing the primary factor causing environmental pollution of the photographic waste solution up to a level satisfying the discharge standard to sewerage by the control of the current-carrying quantity during electrolysis.
The photographic waste solution treatment method is constituted so as to treat the photographic waste solution by electrolysis and the end point of electrolysis is detected to stop electrolytic treatment according to the detected end point. In this method, a pH change speed is especially used as a detection means.
