To provide an inexpensive photographing apparatus capable of highly accurately performing TTL range-finding in a short time.
The apparatus is provided with a driving part 1001 for driving a CCD unit 101 constituted of a protecting glass 1011 and a CCD 1010. First, the CCD unit 101 is inclined to a 2nd posture shown in Fig.(b) in accordance with a photographing operation, then, light reflected by the surface of the protecting glass 1011 is guided to an AF light receiving sensor 110, and then, range-finding is performed by the AF light receiving sensor 110. Thereafter, the unit 101 is returned to a 1st posture shown in Fig.(a), and CCD AF is performed, and the distance up to the object is measured.
