To provide a photographing device and a photographing method for photographing a photographic object to which an IC tag is attached, wherein the IC tag is attached to the photographic object, so that the object is detected and its distance is measured to perform focusing and the object is easily and accurately automatically photographed in an in-focus state.

The photographing device is equipped with a means for measuring a distance to the IC tag attached to the photographic object, and a means for photographing the photographic object after photographing equipment is focused based on the measured distance.
