Abstract:

PURPOSE: To completely eliminate a hand shake which is made when a shutter release button is pressed at the time of a still camera and to easily take a picture unless one hand is free by indicating the start of photography, etc., which a line of sight.

CONSTITUTION: When a sight line release position 31 is preset by a sight line release position presetting means 4, a sight line release position preset signal N is outputted to a CPU 1 and 'R' is displayed at the sight line release positions 31. Then a sight line detecting means 3 starts detecting the sight line position of the observer's eye. Then a sight line detection signal D is outputted. The CPU 1 compares the preset sight line release position preset signal N with the detected sight line detection signal D to place the camera in shutter release motion when they match each other and return to the beginning when not.
