Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photolyzable polyolefin composition for a packing container, an agricultural film or the like which is decomposed by light after a certain period and does not pollute the environment by adding a specific alkoxydimethylsilylferrocene to an olefin base material.
SOLUTION: This photolyzable polyolefin composition for a packing container, a stapling, a coating material, an agricultural film of the like which is decomposed by sun light exposure for a certain period and does not pollute the environment, is obtained by adding 0.001-0.5%, toward the total weight, of a photolyzing agent comprising an alkoxydimethylsilylferrocene of the formula (wherein R is CnH2n+1 [wherein n is an integer of 4-10]; and R1, R2 are each H or a group of Si(CH3)2OR) to a polyolefin base material comprising a low- density or high-density polyethylene, a polypropylene, an ethylene-propylene copolymer, an ethylene-butene copolymer, an ethylene-hexene copolymer, an ethylene-octene copolymer, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, a mixture thereof or the like.
