PURPOSE: To provide a photomatrix switch outputting after exchanging the propagation path and propagation wavelength of light pulse trains in time series at high extinction ratio and optical cross-talk within wide wavelength range making no loss in opticalsignal at all.
CONSTITUTION: This photomatrix switch for switching the propagation path of opticalsignals is composed of n(n=integer exceeding 2) each of photooutputting bistable lasers 131, 132 respectively having at least m(m=integer exceeding 2) each of saturable absorbent regions 151-1, 152-1, 151-2. 151-2 as well as m each of optical inputting wave-guides 121, 122, intersecting m each of respective saturable absorbent regions 151-1, 152-1, 152-2. 152-2 of n each of bistable lasers 131, 132.
