Title:
PHOTOMETRIC DEVICE FOR CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3690044
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate scenes different in subject color or light source color and give a proper exposure value without requiring a difficult action by calculating the proper exposure value of the field based on the outputs of a photometric circuit and a scene discriminating section.
SOLUTION: The photometric circuit 11 is a circuit for measuring the light of the field with a light receiving element, its photometric output is connected to the first A/D conversion section 12, the photometric output is converted into numerical photometric data, and the data are outputted to an intensity calculation section 13. The intensity calculation section 13 converts the numerical data into an absolute intensity value, and its output is connected to a scene judgment section 17 and an exposure calculation section 18. A colorimetric circuit 14 is a circuit for measuring the color output of the field, and its colorimetric output is connected to the second A/D conversion section 15. The exposure calculation section 18 calculates a proper exposure value based on the outputs of the scene discriminating section 17 and a distance calculation section 19. A scene can be accurately discriminated based on the color balance information of the field, and the photographing probability can be improved with a proper exposure.
