PURPOSE: To ensure a quick potential change on the inner surface of the translucent wall of a sealed vessel, and reduce the occurrence of hysteresis by forming a conductive section on the aforesaid inner surface.
CONSTITUTION: A conductive section 16 comprising a deposited film of aluminum or the like is formed on the inner wall surface of a glass bulb 1. This conductive section 16 is made to have the predetermined shape around the external surface of a grid electrode 3, in order to prevent the incidence of light. Then, a conductive film 10 is formed on the opposed surfaces of insulation substrates 8 and 9. According to this construction, a resistance value on the inner wall surface of a sealed vessel drops, and a time constant becomes small. As a result, a potential change takes place at a high speed on the inner wall surface of the sealed vessel, and the occurrence of hysteresis is reduced.
