Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a photonic network of high flexibility to flexibly deal with addition of a new path, even if the photonic network is constituted, while effectively using network resources by using a few 3R (reshaping, retiming and regenerating) repeaters.
SOLUTION: When setting path, the number of non-repeater reachable nodes is calculated, the node being a node positioned at a limit to perform transfer of an optical signal, without requiring the 3R repeater in assuming that the own node is a source node. The calculation result and the number of 3R repeaters own node has are announced to the other nodes. The information. about the number of non-repeater reachable nodes and the 3R repeaters, which are announced from another node, are summed respectively so as to correspond to addresses of the other nodes. The 3R repeater nodes are selected so that the number of 3R repeaters becomes as small as possible to the number of destinations nodes. When there are a plurality of 3R repeater node candidates, a candidate having the largest margin of 3R repeating performance is selected.
