PURPOSE: To obtain a photopolymerizable compsn. high in sensitivity to rays of light in the visible wavelength region by using a compsn. composed essentially of a photopolymerization initiator compsn. contg. a compd. having at least one azulenium salt ring and a photopolymerizable photosensitive component.
CONSTITUTION: The photopolymerizable compsn. is composed essentially of the photopolymerization initiator compsn. contg. the azulenium photosensitive compd. representable by formulae [I]W[III) having at least one azulenium salt ring and a photopolymerizable component. The photopolymerization initiator compsn. is added in an amt. of 0.1W100, preferably, 0.5W50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the photopolymerizable photosensitive component, thus permitting the obtained photopolymerizable compsn. to complete polymerization reaction in a short time by irradiating actinic rays ranging from UV to the visible light.
