Title:
PHOTORECEPTIVE MEMBER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06148920
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the photoreceptive member for electrophotography which has excellent electric characteristics, image characteristics and durability and does not generate uneven halftones even at the time of repetitive use particularly at a high speed.

CONSTITUTION: This photoreceptive member has a photoreceptive layer which is laminated, successively from a base 101 side, with a first layer region 102 constituted of a non-single crystalline material contg. silicon atoms, germanium atoms, carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms and/or halogen atoms and a second layer region 103 constituted of a non-single crystalline material contg. silicon atoms as a base material and contg. hydrogen atoms and/or halogen atoms as constituting elements and exhibiting a photoconductivity on the base 101. The content of the germanium atoms having at least one bond with the silicon atoms in the first layer region 102 is 40 to 100% of the total germanium atoms in the first layer region 102. As a result, the photoreceptive member for electrophotography with which 'ghosts' and uneven halftones are not admitted and which has excellent characteristics with less defects, such as white spots while maintaining electrostatic chargeability is obtd.
