To provide an image forming method in which filming of a toner, etc., is not caused on the surface of a photoreceptor and the surface of the photoreceptor is scratch-resistant and to provide a photoreceptor suitable for the method.
The image forming method has a step in which an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor is developed with a toner containing a bonding resin to form a toner image and this toner image is transferred to a recording material to obtain a recorded image and a step for removing the residual toner on the surface of the photoreceptor. A resin layer having a surface friction coefficient of ≤1.6 has been formed on the surface of the photoreceptor used in the image forming method. The value of solubility parameter of the resin layer is different from that of the bonding resin in the toner by ≥0.5 as the absolute value.
