Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE BODY FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6194057
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the implantation of electric charge from a conductive base and to improve electrostatic chargeability by providing an intermediate layer consisting essentially of an org. metallic compd. between the conductive base and charge generating layer.

CONSTITUTION: Al, Cu, etc. are used as the conductive base 1 and the intermediate layer 2 is formed thereon. The org. metallic compd., for example, zirconium chelate compd., titanium orthoester or the like is coated on the layer 2 to form the film thereof on said layer. The charge generating layer 3 is formed of a pigment and resin on said layer. A charge transfer layer 4 is formed of a polycyclic arom. compd., nitrogenous cyclic compd., etc.f and binder thereon. The org. metallic compd. and adhesive agent are used for the intermediate layer to provide the role of a barrier layer. Since the photosensitive body for electrophotography has the specific intermediate layer, the photosensitive body has small dark attenuation and stable electrostatic chargeability.
