To make a device extremely simple and to obtain a toner image high in density and contrast without causing the disturbance of an image and the deduction of the toner concentration by providing a photosensitive sheet with a conductive substrate and at least one photoconductive photosensitive layer.
This photosensitive sheet is produced by forming a photoconductive photosensitive layer 4 on a conductive substrate prepared by forming a conductive layer 3 on a sheet-shaped substrate 2. When the sheet-shaped substrate 2 has conductivity, the sheet supporting body 2 may be used as the conductive substrate without forming the conductive layer 3. In order to improve the adhesion property between the sheet-shaped substrate 2 and the conductive layer 3 or the adhesion property between the conductive layer 3 and the photoconductive photosensitive layer 4, under coat layers 6A, 6B may be formed between them. The edge part of the conductive layer 3 exposed to the outside may be used as a conducting part 5A. In the conducting part 5A, a passage is formed to discharge charges on the surface of the photoconductive photosensitive layer 4 exposed in an image forming process to the outside of the photosensitive sheet 1.
