Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE EMULSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62209445
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a plane silver halide emulsion having a high sensitivity, a high contrast and improved graininess, transparent and sharpness properties by constituting a specific core composed of silver iodobromide and a specific shell composed of silver iodobromide or silver bromide, and by specifying a relative standard deviation of silver iodide content contd. in individual particles of the emulsion particles.

CONSTITUTION: The usable plane silver halide particle (a plane particle) has preferably a ratio of the diameter to the thickness of the plane particle of 5W20. The plane particle has a double structure composed of the core and the shell coated with the core. The core is composed of substantially of 4W20mol%, preferably 6W15mol% silver iodobromide contg. silver iodide. The shell of the plane particle is composed of ≤3mol%, preferably ≤1.5mol% of silver iodobromide contg. silver iodide or silver bromide. The plane particle has ≤20% relative standard deviation of the silver iodide contg. in the individual particles.
