Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE SILVER HALIDE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6132839
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive material having superior shelf stability, little fog and superior graininess by using a specified compound having chemical stability and capable of forming a photographically useful group at a desired speed.

CONSTITUTION: In a reaction by which PUG is released from a compound represented by formula 1 in the presence of alkali, the formation of PUG is nearly negligible in an equilibrium state in which the reverse reaction takes place easily. The PUG rebonding reaction proceeds more slowly during development than during storage, and the concn. of PUG is relatively increased, so enough photographically useful groups are released during development at a speed depending on the properties of A, X, R1 and R2 in the formula 1. The photographically useful group PUG is a development retarder, a development accelerator, a dye or other compound selected according to the purpose.
