PURPOSE: To easily obtain high-wuality color images by forming the latent images corresponding to the color images with visible light by using a photosensitive and thermosensitive recording material which transfers the color images onto receiving paper and develops the colors of the color images by using a thermal head and can thus record the color images on the receiving paper, then developing the color images by heat.
CONSTITUTION: The image signals corresponding to the color images from a signal processing section 1 are converted to the light corresponding to the color images signals in an exposing section 2 and the photosensitive and thermosensitive recording material 3 is irradiated with this light to form the latent images. The photosensitive and thermosensitive recording material 5 formed with the latent images is so installed that the porous microcapsule layer 6 thereon faces the color developer layer 8, The photosensitive and thermosementive recording material formed with the latent images is applied with heat from the sear by using the thermal head 9 to transfer and record the images corresponding to the color image signals the receiving paper 7. The ligh-grade color image are easily obtd, in this way.
