Abstract:
To provide a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy, in which intermolecular collisions are suppressed and light energy of a wide range of wavelengths are absorbs and aggregates, thereby providing damage on lesions by efficiently oxidizing nearby oxygen to reactive oxygen species.SOLUTION: The photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy according to the present invention contains a cyclic saccharide, a photosensitive substance, and a photoactivating substance, in which the photosensitive substance is surrounded by the cyclic saccharide, the photosensitive substance and the photoactivating substance have C10-20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group, the cyclic saccharide surrounding the photosensitive substance forms an outer shell by assembling with the C10-20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group inside, and the photoactivating substance is accommodated in the outer shell.SELECTED DRAWING: None
