PURPOSE: To form a printed matter which is accurately line fed and allocated by switching a printing mode to a normal printing or an oblique printing mode, and designating desired two points to display a rectangular blank.
CONSTITUTION: In case of oblique printing, an oblique angle α or β is set and input to set an oblique printing mode, a first setting point A position, and a host computer HC is executed. Then, oblique printing orthogonal coordinates X1, Y1, the point A are stored in a memory block, and the orthogonal coordinates are displayed on a monitor 24. When a cursor is moved to set and input a second set point B, the coordinates of perpendicularly crossing lines X2, Y2, the point B are stored in the block, the computer HC so calculates the distance of the first and second points as to equally divide it in response to the number of printing lines, stores the coordinates value of the dividing point, and displays the coordinates X1, Y1, the lines X2, Y2, an enclosed figure, the points A, B and the dividing point on the monitor 24. A character board 6 is released, a shutter 14 is opened or closed, a phototype setting drum 16 is driven, and oblique printing is executed.
