To provide a photovoltaic generation system which allows the site area for installing a solar cell module to be effectively utilized.
A frame is installed on an approximately horizontal plane such as a flat roof. Solar cell modules 101 and 102 are respectively arranged and supported on the frame in a shape of a plurality of connected mountains having alternate top and valley parts. The light receiving surface of the solar cell module 101 (a first light receiving surface) forms a mountain-shaped slope tilted in a direction, while the light receiving surface of the solar cell module 102 (a second light receiving surface) forms a mountain-shaped slope tilted in another direction. Even in the case that the solar cell modules are closely arranged, the solar cell module does not shadow the other solar cell module, so that the site area for the system can be effectively utilized. The valley part is provided with a gap, so that the rain water flowing on the tilted surface of the solar cell module is efficiently discharged from the valley part.
