To provide a phthalocyanine compound which efficiently absorbs light of a wavelength band of about 900 nm, and is high in visible light transmittance and excellent in light resistance and heat resistance, and a heat-ray absorbing material including the same.
The specific phthalocyanine compound has substituents to be bonded to aromatic rings of phthalocyanine, which are represented by Z1-Z16, and a center metal represented by M. Z1-Z16 and M are defined respectively as follows. Each of Z1-Z16 independently represents anilino group, halogen atom or phenoxy group substituted by 1-5 halogen atoms, 1 to 5 of Z1-Z16 are substituted phenoxy groups, 4 to 11 thereof are anilino groups, at least one of Z1, Z4, Z5, Z8, Z9, Z12, Z13 and Z16 and at least one of Z2, Z3, Z6, Z7, Z10, Z11, Z14and Z15 are anilino groups, and M is vanadyl (VO).
