In the physical developing device used in a method for forming a metal silver portion by exposing a pattern of a photosensitive material having at least one emulsion layer containing silver halide particles on a support, and then performing development, fixing and physical development of the pattern in session, the liquid tank of the physical developing device is conductive and connected to the positive electrode side of a DC power supply, a conveyance roller touching the surface of emulsion of the photosensitive material is conductive and connected to the negative electrode side of the DC power supply, and physical development is carried out while conducting a current from the DC power supply. A method for forming a metal silver portion and a light-permeable conductive film employing it, and an electromagnetic wave shielding material having high light permeability are also provided.
