Abstract:
To provide a physical property detection device and an image forming system capable of improving workability of a user and detection accuracy of a physical property of a sheet.SOLUTION: The physical property detection device includes an insertion portion capable of inserting and extracting a sheet from an insertion opening, a first physical property detection unit for detecting the first physical property of the sheet in a state in which the sheet is not nipped and a second physical property detection unit configured to be able to nip the sheet, and for detecting the second physical property of the sheet in a state in which the sheet is nipped. The first physical property detection unit and the second physical property detection unit are arranged at different positions in an insertion/extraction direction of the sheet in the insertion portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
