Abstract:
To provide a physical quantity detector and a printing device with which it is possible to accurately detect the remaining quantity of a detection object.SOLUTION: The physical quantity detector comprises: a container having therein an accommodation space for accommodating a detection object composed of a dielectric substance; a first electrode and at least one second electrode arranged facing each other via the accommodation space; and a capacitance detection unit for applying an AC voltage between the first and second electrodes and detecting capacitance between the first and second electrodes. The frequency of the AC voltage applied between the first and second electrodes is 1 kHz or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
