Abstract:

To make a plurality of the units small in size each provided with a detection section that detects a received physical quantity and a storage section that stores information of the detected physical quantity.

A photoelectric conversion storage section 33 and its drive transistor(TR) 35 are placed to each of pixels 32 that are arranged in a form of matrix, and a row is selected by a row selection shift register 36 and a selected row drive TR 40 of a selected row drive section 38 that is conduction- controlled thereby. A column is selected by using a column selection shift register 50, so as to apply selective conduction control to the drive TR 35 and a load TR 44 which are the components of a source follower circuit as a buffer. Then the selected row drive TR 40 is connected to a selected row drive voltage input section 39 to apply selectively a power supply voltage (Vd) to the rows of the pixels 32 to select each row.
