PURPOSE: To provide a piano wire fixing tool which is free from swings, etc., when a piano wire is fixed to a lower aligning template with the aid of a tensile spring and presents an enhanced safety, easiness, and effectiveness in installing works.

CONSTITUTION: A piano wire dangling at an upper aligning template is fixed to a lower aligning template with the aid of the tension of a tensile spring 11. In this work to generate alignment when an elevator is to be installed, a groove 22 is formed in a bend 18a at the tip of a fixing metal piece 18 of a piano wire fixing tool for use in the aligning works, and the vertical part of a detent metal piece 12 provided at the lower aligning template is fitted in this groove 22, and upon pulling up a lever 20, the piano wire is fastened to the tensile spring 11.
