The device comprises four-side lining means 20, 30 for lining the bottle case group located under a traveling truck 11 in longitudinal and crosswise directions, outside lifting means for putting engagement fittings 41 in engagement with the engagement holes y in the outer plates of the bottle cases located on two opposed sides of the bottle case group in a disengageable manner, inside lifting means for putting the engagement fittings 53 in engagement with the engagement holes in the outer plates located inside the outer periphery of the bottle case group in a disengageable manner, and end face mating means 200 for performing end face mating of the bottle case group subjected to layer picking at one end in each of the longitudinal and traveling directions.
