Abstract:
To provide a pickling agent which has a viscous property enough to be applied by spraying or brushing and can attain a high pickling effect in pickling an austenite/ferrite dual-phase stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance and to provide a method for pickling the steel therewith.
The pickling agent comprises an inorganic acid except nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and fluoronitric acid, an organic acid, a magnesium compound, and a surface-active agent. A method for pickling an austenite/ferrite dual-phase stainless steel employs the pickling agent.
