Abstract:
The method involves increasing a relative speed between an imaging device and a printing form by a real factor. An exposure time per printing dot is shortened by another factor that is reciprocal to the former factor. The printing form is imaged using activatable laser diodes (16) for inputting an amount of energy per printing dot on the form with an imaging intensity that is a function of exposure time. The relative speed is increased by a factor f, where f is greater than 1 and f is at most n and f is a real number and n is the number of laser diodes. The exposure time is shortened by the factor 1dividef. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an imaging device for a printing form (b) a printing press.
