PURPOSE: To form small size and light weight magnet and thereby the entire part of picture tube by providing a pair of magnets in the side of screen among two pairs of 4-pole magnets adjacent to the side end of gun of deflection yoke.

CONSTITUTION: The 4-pole magnet 8-2' in the screen side among two pairs of 4-pole magnets 8-1, 8-2' is provided adjacent to the end surface of separator 12 of deflection yoke 5' in the more screen side than the tightening band 9, namely to the side end part of three guns of deflection yoke 5'. Thereby, distance l' between the 4-pole magnets 8-1, 8-2' becomes considerably large as compared with the existing device. In case there is a rotating error of horizontal axis of three guns and the horizontal axis of deflection yoke 5', the static convergence can be taken by two pairs of 4-pole magnets 8-1, 8-2', but since the distance l' is large, a large amount of magnetization is not required for the magnets 8-1, 8-2' and these magnets can be formed small in size and thereby the total size of device can be also reduced.
