PURPOSE: To improve convenience by providing a picture display means on which picture information can be displayed and eliminated by applying a magnetic force to magnetic particles in order to allow them to migrate, and writing by handwriting can be operated with a felt pen or the like.

CONSTITUTION: A magnetic recording head device 4, magnetic eliminating head device 5, and board face reading device 6 are mounted on the same carriage 21, and the magnetic eliminating head device 5 is provided at a position preceding against a traveling direction at the time of writing by the magnetic recording head 4, and at a rear face sheet 14 side of a magnetic migration display board 3. Then, at the time of an eliminating operation, the magnetic eliminating head device 5 is moved to the rear face sheet 14 side of the area to be eliminated of the magnetic migration display board 3, and the electromagnetic stone group of the area to be eliminated is selectively conducted. Also, at the time of a rewriting operation, the writing operation is operated simultaneously by the magnetic recording head device 4 so that picture display described on the magnetic migration display board 3 can be eliminated, and also new picture display can be formed on the magnetic migration board 3. Thus, convenience can be improved.
