Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize rewriting, to minimize a program to be stored in a ROM or the like and to improve reliability by storing in a ROM or the like a control program only for transferring a download program to a RAM or the like and executing the transferred downloaded program.
SOLUTION: This device rewrites a control code of a picture forming device that forms a picture in accordance with control codes stored in plural storage media 1004, 1008 and 1015. In this case, a reception control code for receiving an execution code for executing rewriting of a control code is transferred to a RAM 105 from a built-in ROM 1019, the execution code is received from a serial I/F 1011 in accordance with the transferred reception control code and the control code is rewritten.
