PURPOSE: To enable enlarging and reduction of a picture at any proportion even by a reader section using a sensor of close contact type by arranging pural photo-electric element arrays consisting of plural photo-electric elements on different lines and at the same time, providing plural recording sections that make recoding action basing on respective output.

CONSTITUTION: A printer section reflects and deflects collimated light obtained by collimating plural light sources by a collimator lens 42 using a rotary polyhedral mirror 43, and forms an image on a photosensitive drum 46 by a fθ lens 44. Here, the interval between loci of spots 51a, 51b formed by two beams are made to conform with zigzag interval in a CCD line sensor 34. Output of sensors 35a, 35b is digitized separately by A/D convertors 36a, 36b, and processed in parallel in processing systems 60a, 60b, and outputted respectively to laser 51a, 51b. That is, sensors and semiconductor laser make one to one correspondence to reading line of an original and writing line on the photosensitive drum, and reducing and enlarging of a picture can be made optionally without requiring line memory etc.
